Ah--he was spot on; haven't been, but loved spending time in London, Brit Museum and all. Given my ancestors, I've spent more time on the Emerald Isle to your west (as explained below, "green" is a rare color hereabouts).
I am in the arid Southwest, the Sonoran Desert of southern Arizona. If you enjoy Westerns, you've no doubt seen what this hot as blazes country can look like--I love it, but I am a tree-hugging nature lover, blah, blah, blah, esp enamored of scaly critters, which abound here, obviously.
SDH and I, and a couple of others, call this face-melting heaven home. Let us know if you ever visit and we'll be sure to have our 33 round clips inserted in our sidearms with the safety "on"....I know we shouldn't joke about firearms, but the debates about such issues locally make you want to laugh, trust me. Last count, SDH had purchased enough at the local sporting goods outlet to outfit a small to moderate sized Third World nation with all manner of weaponry.
